Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Backend & API Management (APIM) Developer to design, develop, and manage enterprise-grade API solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure backend development, API lifecycle management, security implementation, and data integration. This role requires hands-on technical capability along with strong collaboration skills to work effectively in Agile environments and distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement RESTful and SOAP APIs using Azure API Management (APIM).
• Architect and manage API lifecycle including publishing, versioning, throttling, monitoring, and security.
• Develop backend services using Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure App Services.
• Build and maintain backend APIs using .NET, C#, Node.js, and React.js (as required).
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and certificate-based authentication.
• Configure API policies, transformations, caching, rate limiting, and logging within APIM.
• Integrate APIs with various Azure services and external systems.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git-based workflows.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, reliability, and security of APIs and backend systems.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize API performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver business solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 68+ years of experience in Azure cloud development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure API Management (APIM).
• Proficiency in backend development using .NET, C#, Node.js.
• Experience working with RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Strong understanding of API lifecycle management and API security best practices.
• Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure App Services.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, JWT, certificate-based authentication, and API security standards.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
