We are expanding our security delivery teams and are seeking experienced Microsoft Security Engineers (Contractors) to support several large client deployments spanning Microsoft 365, Azure, third-party cloud platforms, and on-premises environments.

Role Overview

This role will focus on hands-on deployment and configuration of Microsoft security workloads, working as part of a broader NexTier delivery team. You will support complex enterprise environments, contribute to secure architecture decisions, and help operationalize Microsofts security stack across hybrid and multi-cloud scenarios.

This is not a pure advisory role. We are looking for engineers who have deployed, configured, and supported Microsoft security solutions in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure Microsoft 365 and Azure security workloads across enterprise tenants
• Implement and tune Microsoft Defender solutions, identity protection, and information protection controls
• Support hybrid and multi-cloud security architectures, including integrations with third-party cloud providers and on-premises environments
• Configure identity, access, and conditional access policies aligned to security best practices
• Assist with security posture assessments, remediation activities, and deployment validation
• Collaborate with NexTier architects, project managers, and customer stakeholders during delivery
• Support production rollouts and stabilization for large client environments

Required Certifications (Top Priority) - Candidates should hold at least one of the following, with preference given to those who hold both:

• Microsoft Certified: Security Engineer Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate

Preferred / Desired Certifications - The following certifications are highly desirable but not mandatory:

• Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Information Security Administrator Associate

Technical Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience deploying Microsoft security solutions across Microsoft 365 and Azure
• Experience with solutions such as:
• Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
• Microsoft Defender for Identity
• Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps
• Microsoft Defender for Office 365
• Microsoft Information Protection / DLP
• Microsoft Entra ID (Conditional Access, MFA, Identity Protection)
• Experience working in hybrid environments (cloud + on-prem)
• Familiarity with third-party security platforms and integrations is a plus
• Experience supporting enterprise or regulated customers preferred
