Job Profile: SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM) Technical Consultant

Location: Singapore

Employment Type: 9 12 months

Preferred experience: 5+ years

The Role

The SAP PaPM Technical Consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting SAP PaPM models to enable cost and revenue allocation, planning, forecasting, and what-if simulations. The role requires strong hands-on PaPM expertise, solid finance domain knowledge, and close collaboration with Finance, FP&A, and IT teams to deliver scalable and high-performing PaPM solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP PaPM models to support cost and revenue allocation, profitability analysis, planning, forecasting, and what-if simulations.
• Lead end-to-end PaPM modelling activities, including data sourcing, function configuration, calculation logic, and result generation.
• Configure and optimize PaPM functions such as Calculation, Allocation, Enrichment, Validation, and Simulation.
• Integrate data from SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, and other source systems into PaPM, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Perform result validation, reconciliation, and variance analysis to ensure alignment with finance and FP&A expectations.
• Drive performance tuning of PaPM models to meet business and operational SLAs.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and data-related issues within PaPM.
• Translate finance and business requirements into scalable, reusable, and efficient PaPM solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, FP&A, Controlling, and IT teams to align PaPM outputs with business needs.
• Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), go-live, and post go-live stabilization.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, model design specifications, and solution walkthroughs.
• Provide knowledge transfer and support to client teams as required.

Must - Have Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech) or relevant filed.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP PaPM modelling and configuration experience.
• SAP PaPM modelling concepts and framework
• Cost and revenue allocation methodologies
• PaPM functions: Calculation, Allocation, Enrichment, Validation, Simulation
• Data integration from SAP S/4HANA and SAP BW
• Result validation, reconciliation, and financial accuracy checks
• Performance optimization and error handling in PaPM
• Solid finance and controlling knowledge, including P&L structures, Cost centres and cost objects, Product and customer profitability
• Hands-on experience of SIT and UAT cycles, Go-live and production support
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a client-facing, delivery-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Finance Transformation or SAP EPM programs.
• Prior exposure to Food & Beverage, FMCG, or Consumer Goods industry.
• Knowledge of planning and forecasting enablement using PaPM.
• Experience working in multi-country or regional rollouts.
• Familiarity with SAP FICO / CO-PA concepts.
• Understanding of performance management, profitability analysis, and management reporting.
• Experience in fixed-price or outcome-based project delivery models.
• SAP PaPM or related SAP certifications.
