1. Function Context

1.1 Positioning

• Position: SAP SolMan Expert
• Supervisory Role: No

1.2 Purpose of the Role

ArcelorMittal is looking for an SAP Solution Manager and SAP Basis expert with more than 8 years of experience , working in close collaboration and deep partnership with internal and external IT teams.

The scope of responsibilities will cover ArcelorMittal Flat Europe projects and services in complex and critical SOX SAP applicative environments .

2. Key Responsibilities

SAP Environment

• Manage and support SAP Solution Manager environments

Application Support

• Support application teams using SAP SolMan

SAP Basis Support

• Perform SAP Basis support for different application landscapes

SolMan Workload

• Authorization requests
• Role requests
• Ticketing
• CHARM management and support
• Support custom development
• Performance support

Monitoring

• Monitoring of dumps, errors, and logs
• Resolution of identified problems

Incident Management

• Manage and solve incidents and problems

Demand Management

• Manage and implement new demands

Migration

• Work on migration of SAP SolMan to ALM on SAP Cloud

3.3 Required Technical Competencies

SAP SolMan expert profile with strong knowledge in:

• ALM
• SAP Basis
• Linux and AIX operating systems
• Administration of authorizations
• Transport management
• Setup of SAP SolMan systems and backend connections
• Management of SAP authorizations, roles, and profiles in alignment with SOX Segregation of Duties and CHARM processes
• Mandatory deep knowledge of CHARM
• ITSM management
• ITGC and SOX knowledge

3.4 Preferred Technical Competencies

• Keen to learn new technologies

4. Requirements

Education

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Masters degree is a plus

Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure in an SAP SolMan role

• Strong change management capability
• One of the main challenges of this role is ensuring end-user acceptance and adoption
• Prior experience where change management was a critical success factor, particularly in SOX systems , is required
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and geographically dispersed environment

• Proficiency in English is required
• Knowledge of other European languages is a plus
