Job Title: SAP BASIS & Security Consultant

Experience: 4 to 8 Years

Location: Bangalore (Immediate) | Hybrid

Job Summary

SAP Basis & Security Senior Consultant to lead and manage in a 24x7 support environment. The role involves end-to-end SAP Basis administration, operational leadership, and ensuring system stability, performance, and compliance across complex SAP landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage shift-based operations for a team of 1015 SAP Basis consultants
• Provide SAP Basis support for S/4HANA, SAP Business Suite, EWM, and related systems
• Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and transport management (ChaRM/CTMS)
• Manage SAP HANA administration, performance optimization, and troubleshooting across ERP, BW, and BW/4HANA
• Handle system refreshes, upgrades, kernel/database patching, and data volume management
• Drive incident, problem, and change management aligned with ITIL standards
• Create and maintain shift rosters, ensure task allocation, and improve team productivity
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams on system sizing, capacity planning, and HA/DR strategies
• Maintain system documentation, support audits, and ensure compliance requirements
• Provide root cause analysis (RCA) and ensure effective resolution of critical issues
• Mentor junior consultants and promote continuous knowledge sharing

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in SAP Basis (ABAP & Java stacks), SAP Solution Manager, FRUN, and Cloud ALM
• Hands-on experience with SAP installations, upgrades, refreshes, and patch management
• Operating Systems: Unix/Linux/Windows
• Databases: SAP HANA, Oracle, ASE, DB2, MaxDB
• Experience in system copies, Unicode conversions, performance monitoring, and user/security administration

Desired Profile

• 4-8 years of relevant SAP Basis experience
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and project fundamentals
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to perform under tight deadlines
