Job Description

Role: Sales Trainer

Location: Bangalore

Reporting to: Lead Training-Sales

Team Name: Talent Development

About the Team and the Role:

The Talent Development team at Ather is responsible for building internal capabilities and driving excellence across our sales and retail networks.

This role is for a Sales Trainer who will spearhead the training lifecycle for both company-owned and retail partner teams, ensuring high levels of product knowledge, process adherence, and sales proficiency to drive business impact and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive New Hire Training for Sales and CREs across company-owned and retail partner locations.

  • Deliver engaging in-person and virtual learning sessions using advanced adult learning methodologies and blended approaches.

  • Support new product launches by preparing technical training content, facilitating sessions, and managing certification drives.

  • Partner with Area Sales Managers to identify regional training gaps and assess frontline readiness levels.

  • Design and execute short-burst refresher modules to ensure continuous skill reinforcement and process updates.

  • Improve customer satisfaction and Net Promoter Scores (NPS) by delivering targeted business communication and soft-skills training.

  • Conduct field visits to Experience Centres and monitor customer calls to identify performance opportunities and provide need-based coaching.

  • Maintain updated training records, attendance reports, and evaluation metrics to track and share post-training effectiveness with management.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Any Graduation

  • 3–6 years of experience in sales training, sales enablement, or front-line sales roles (preferably in automotive, FMCG, telecom, or EV sector)

Must Have Competencies

  • Facilitation of skill-based and product-specific training programs across diverse sales audiences.

  • Implementation of blended learning methodologies including e-learning, Instructor-Led Training (ILT), and field coaching.

  • Curriculum design for sales process training and technical product modules.

  • Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and post-training impact assessment using data-driven insights.

Good to Have Competencies

  • Proficiency in managing training operations and maintaining digital learning records.

  • Technical understanding of EV technology or automotive sales cycles.

  • Expertise in regional language delivery for localized training impact.

  • Quality auditing through call monitoring and field observation techniques.
