Regional Collections Manager

Job Purpose

The Regional Collection Manager is responsible for leading and managing end-to-end collection operations across the assigned region. The role focuses on driving collection efficiency, reducing delinquency, ensuring compliance, and managing internal and external collection teams to achieve business targets.

Key Responsibilities

Collection Operations

• Manage overall collection performance for the assigned region.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly collection, recovery, and roll-back targets.
• Monitor delinquency trends and implement corrective action plans.
• Drive productivity and efficiency of field, tele-calling, and legal collection teams.

Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop Area Collection Managers, Team Leads, and Executives.
• Set clear targets, conduct performance reviews, and ensure team motivation.
• Ensure adequate staffing, training, and skill development across the region.

Agency & Vendor Management

• Manage external collection agencies and ensure performance as per SLAs.
• Conduct regular audits, reviews, and compliance checks of agencies.
• Optimize agency allocation and cost efficiency.

Compliance & Risk Control

• Ensure adherence to RBI guidelines, company policies, and ethical collection practices.
• Handle escalations, customer grievances, and legal notices effectively.
• Coordinate with Legal and Risk teams for litigation and recovery actions.

Process Improvement

• Identify gaps and implement best practices to improve collection outcomes.
• Use analytics to track performance, predict risks, and improve recovery strategies.
• Drive digital and field collection optimization initiatives.
