What would you do? Responsible for Investment accounting & reporting work for Insurance F&A, preferably requiring sound understanding of SEC and NAIC Reporting. The role also envisages preparation and consolidation of Investment reporting. Professionals would be an individual working on high-end systems and various reporting software applications like Workiva, Eagle Wings and Oracle, for meeting their monthly, quarterly and annual deliverables. Responsible for timely and accurate delivery of GAAP & STAT reporting, disclosures, MD&A, Surveys etc. Responsible for timely and accurate delivery of Investment Reporting, disclosures, State filing, Surveys etc. Support the preparation of the consolidated fair value footnote for inclusion in Forms 10-Q and 10-K filings for Investment reporting. Peers (team members) for the purpose of seeking co-operation & clarification on process-related matters. Ownership of processes, reports, procedures or products. Subject Matter Expertise in SEC reporting, Notes to accounts, State filing/ supplements and other Disclosures etc Insurance accounting regulatory reporting experience (SSAP knowledge) preferred Self/ Peer review of critical journal entries, GAAP/STAT supplements and Notes to accounts before submission to onshore team. Liaison with multiple departments (Input providers) during the close to ensure timely completion of deliverables/Collaborate for special projects Support quarterly/annual audits by auditors Understand & anticipate clients business needs/concerns, etc. & proactively resolve the same Identify process improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies and enhanced controls Ensure adequacy of internal controls over financial reporting and compliance with Auditors requirements Assuring accuracy and completeness of reconciliation in line with defined proceduresThis team is responsible for reinsurance operations, reinsurance accounting, technical accounting, reporting, understanding of claims and collections, and providing support to the underwriter. What are we looking for? CA Inter/MBA/Post-Graduate in Finance with 5-7+ years of experience in Investment Accounting & Reporting (GAAP & STAT) Knowledge of Investment Accounting & Reporting, technical accounting principles and GAAP/ STAT reporting requirements Capable of working with tight deadlines and lead closure of reporting timelines Effectively balance quality, timeliness and productivity standards Identify and implement enhancements and efficiencies. Experience with financial reporting applications (Oracle, Workiva) preferred, Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with several stakeholders.
