Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC), is a research and development facility with around 500 R&D engineers, specialists, and experts, who focus on creating and sustaining digital solutions, new products and technology. This includes product integration, testing, cybersecurity, and certification. The India Development Centre is situated in Chennai and Bangalore.
IDC collaborates with the R&D and Research centres of Hitachi Energy, which are spread across more than 15 locations throughout 12 countries.
In the past 20 years, IDC has secured more than 200 international papers and 150+ patents.

Your responsibilities
- Define project objectives and deliverables in alignment with organizational goals and customer requirements
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resources and budget allocation
- Communicate project progress, risks, and issues effectively to all relevant stakeholders and facilitate timely decision by presenting facts and figure
- Identify potential risks and challenges in project execution. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project success
- Ensure all project activities comply with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment. Need to work with teams spread across globally
- Inspire and motivate R&D teams and collaborate with resource from functions across the company
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. A Master's or higher degree is a plus. Having total 10+ years of experience in power industry
- Having experience working with Power System studies, Control and Protection functions development
- Having HVDC or Micro Grid development or Renewable sources integration related experience is an added advantage
- Extensive experience in managing projects related to power system studies, control, protection in Research and Development (R&D) environment is required
- Ability to structure simplify and communicate complex topics in simple terms, with emphasis on impact
- Ability to think strategically, understand the big picture and adjust available solution to diverse audiences
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural team will be valued
- Willingness to travel time to time
