Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in automation and manual testing of web and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should be technically strong, proactive, and comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment .

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze application and testing requirements and implement effective automation testing solutions
• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automation test scripts
• Build and maintain test automation frameworks, libraries, and utilities
• Perform API testing (manual and/or automated) using REST, JSON, XML
• Execute functional, integration, and regression testing
• Analyze test execution results and prepare test reports and test sign-off documents
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and project managers
• Identify gaps in testing processes and propose improvements
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies
• Support defect tracking, analysis, and resolution

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with Selenium or Karate automation frameworks
• Strong programming knowledge in Java
• Experience with BDD/TDD frameworks such as Cucumber, Karate, SpecFlow, JBehave
• Solid understanding of manual testing concepts, SDLC, and testing methodologies
• Experience with API Testing (REST, JSON, XML, Postman)
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins)
• Experience with version control tools like Git or SVN
• Exposure to database testing (SQL)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Good to Have

• Chatbot testing / validation experience
• R&D mindset with the ability to explore and learn new tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Experience Required

• 2+ years of experience in testing web / enterprise applications
• Strong mix of manual + automation testing experience

Education

• Bachelors degree in Engineering OR
• Masters in Computer Applications (MCA)
