Athena Cybercraft Aegis Pvt Ltd is looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright to join our growing QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure high-quality software delivery across web applications.

You will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA leads to build reliable automation frameworks and improve testing efficiency.

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Playwright
• Build and enhance automation frameworks using JavaScript / TypeScript / Java
• Implement Page Object Model (POM) and reusable automation components
• Execute automated test suites and analyze test results
• Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools
• Perform functional, regression, and cross-browser testing
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure testability of applications
• Participate in test planning, test case design, and code reviews
• Maintain test reports, logs, and automation documentation

• 35 years of experience in Software Testing
• 2+ years of automation experience
• Strong experience with Playwright automation framework
• Knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript / Java
• Experience with Page Object Model (POM) design pattern
• Good understanding of API testing concepts
• Experience with Git / version control systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
• Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodology

• Experience with API automation tools (Rest Assured / Postman / Karate)
• Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber / Behave)
• Knowledge of parallel execution and cross-browser testing
• Exposure to performance or security testing
• Experience with test reporting tools (Allure / Playwright reports)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to work independently and in team environments
