About the Team and the Role

The Transformation team at Ather is responsible for building strong digital infrastructure to ensure the work across the organization is run in the most efficient manner. This involves building robust systems and tools that align with business processes while identifying inefficiencies and automation opportunities for implementation.

This role is for a strategic digital lead for the Sourcing and Procurement functions. You will act as the primary interface between the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO), category leads, and the technical development teams to translate complex procurement pain points into a prioritized, outcome-driven digital roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Act as the single digital SPOC for Sourcing and Procurement, partnering with category leads to translate business pain points into prioritized digital requirements.

• Drive the sourcing digital roadmap by quantifying ROI and prioritizing features such as cost savings, supplier onboarding, and part availability.

• Own stakeholder governance by representing sourcing at solution reviews and ensuring delivered scope meets acceptance criteria and business goals.

• Define and monitor functional KPIs including PO cycle time, automation percentages, supplier OTIF, and invoice exception rates to drive continuous improvement.

• Author PRDs and functional specifications, defining data models for master data (supplier, material, contract) and specifying API/EDI integration points.

• Partner with Information Systems teams to build a viable product backlog and ensure solutions follow scalable integration patterns.

• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover planning, and post-go-live stabilization while training end users to drive adoption.

• Convert problem statements into lean, plant-compatible processes and system acceptance criteria as a process champion.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Engineering).

• 8 to 12 years of work experience in Supply Chain consulting, systems development, or solution architect roles.

• Proven hands-on experience in SAP MM (Required).

Must Have Competencies

• Execution of Sourcing and Procurement transformation focusing on Procure-to-Pay (P2P), RFx/RFQ, and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM).

• Functional mapping of SAP MM flows to operational procurement needs, including integration with SAP PP and QM modules.

• Management of end-to-end systems delivery including PRD authorship, data migration rules, and UAT design for procurement platforms.

• Utilization of enterprise procurement tools such as Ariba or Ivalua and supplier portals to define fit/gap for sourcing processes.

Good to Have Competencies

• Validation of operational dashboards and KPIs using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL.

• Application of Agile delivery frameworks to collaborate with architects, developers, and QA teams for iterative releases.

• Design of lean business processes and system specifications to resolve complex stakeholder problem statements.

• Management of Systems Integrators and product vendors through cutover and hypercare phases.
