Job Title: Project Engineer BE Civil (Waterproofing)

Job Summary

The Project Engineer will be responsible for the complete, end-to-end management of waterproofing projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a critical, high-impact role requiring a commanding personality to drive on-site execution, rigorous financial planning, and proactive project control from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities

I. Project Planning & Financial Control

Bill of Quantities (BOQ): Prepare, review, and finalize accurate and detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on architectural drawings, site conditions, and project specifications.

Estimation & Billing: Conduct precise quantity take-offs for all waterproofing materials and scope items. Prepare and submit interim and final billing and payment certificates (IPCs) to the client, ensuring timely cash flow.

Project Budget: Develop, manage, and continuously monitor the overall project budget, tracking all expenditures, identifying potential cost overruns, and implementing corrective actions to ensure adherence to the financial plan.

Project Schedule: Create and maintain a detailed, resource-loaded project schedule (e.g., using MS Project or equivalent), monitoring actual progress against the plan and proactively adjusting timelines to meet contractual deadlines.

II. Oversee Site Execution & Procurement Management-This includes material reconciliation, tracking consumption, and coordinating timely delivery to prevent delays. Quality Control: Ensure all work performed complies with project specifications.

Team Leadership & Command: Exercise a commanding, results-driven personality to effectively direct and manage site supervisors, labor, and sub-contractors. Ensure high productivity and strict adherence to the project schedule and quality standards.

Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to site safety protocols and manage all necessary project documentation (RFIs, submittals, progress reports, etc.).

III. End-to-End Delivery

Goal Achievement: Take full ownership of the project's success, proactively resolving on-site issues, mitigating risks, and driving the team to complete work on time and within budget.

Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the client, consultants, and other site contractors for all technical and scheduling matters.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

0-7 years of experience in project execution, with a significant focus on waterproofing, construction chemicals, or building envelope technologies.

Proven expertise in BOQ preparation, quantity surveying, project scheduling, and site procurement.

Strong command over project management.
