What does a successful Network Engineer do?

• A Network Engineer is responsible for design, implement, manage and monitor the wide area and local area 
• networks of businesses and organizations, and they have a range of technical skills to help them complete 
• their expected duties. These engineers commonly have an understanding of various scientific and 
• technological concepts such as scripting and network design, infrastructure and security.
• Network engineers also rely on soft skills such as organization, teamwork and communication skills to be 
• successful in various work environments. Additionally, different employers may require network engineers 
• to have specific skills that align with the objectives of the organization.

What you will do

• The technical skills relate to knowledge and expertise in network engineering, including network 
• fundamentals, design, hardware and software, security, troubleshooting, protocols, and more. Some 
• technical skills you must possess as a network engineer include:
• • Solid understanding of networking principles, including the internet protocol suite, subnetting, and 
• VLANs.
• • Ability to design and implement efficient network architectures.
• • Proficiency in configuring and operating network devices.
• • Knowledge of network security measures like VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
• • Ability to monitor network performance and analyze traffic patterns.
• • Proficiency in coding languages such as Python in order to automate network configuration and 
• management tasks.
• • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve network issues.
• • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working in multidisciplinary teams.
• • Ability to multitask, manage network projects, prioritize specific duties, and meet deadlines.

What you will need to have

• • Bachelor’s degree in programming or related field
• • 3-5 of experience in network administration
• • 17:00 p.m - 03:00 a.m (IST)
• • Design, implement and maintain LAN, WAN and wireless network
• • Configure and troubleshoot network device including router, switches and firewall.
• • Monitor network performance and optimize as and when needed.
• • Troubleshoot network issues and provide technical support
• • Collaborate with other teams to ensure network integration with other systems
• • Knowledge of Tuffin or any Firewall Management & Network Security Policy Software
• • Follow up with stakeholders for the change request raised and take it to closure
• • Worked on Service now or any ITSM tool
• • Ability to manage and prioritize work queue across multiple workstreams.
• • Team player with ability to work independently.
• • Experience in full software development life cycle using agile methodologies.
• • Should have good understanding of Agile methodologies and can handle agile ceremonies.
• • Efficient in Reviewing, Analyzing, coding, testing, and debugging of application programs.
• • Should be able to work under pressure while resolving critical issues in Prod environment.
• • Good communication skills and experience in working with Clients.
• • Good understanding in Banking Domain.
