What you will do:

Define and evolve architecture and technical direction for cybersecurity automation platforms and services.
Lead design of large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems, addressing scalability, latency, resilience, and failure modes.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software engineers and SREs across multiple teams.
Establish and influence engineering standards, patterns, and best practices across security automation and reliability domains.
Guide adoption of automation-first and reliability-first practices, including SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, and observability.
Review and approve architecture, design, and security decisions, ensuring secure-by-design and compliance alignment.
Partner with product, security architecture, cloud, and SRE leaders to align technology strategy with business outcomes.
Influence DevOps, CI/CD, platform engineering, and IaC standards (GitOps, Kubernetes, serverless).
Drive incident learning and systemic improvements, ensuring lessons translate into architectural and platform changes.
Evaluate emerging technologies (including AI/ML and AIOps) and guide responsible adoption.
Produce clear architecture documentation, decision records, and technical guidance.
Act as a trusted technical advisor across the cybersecurity organization.
Perform additional duties and projects as needed.

What you will bring:

7+ years of software engineering experience, with ownership of large-scale, distributed production systems.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Deep expertise in system architecture and distributed systems (HA, scalability, fault tolerance).
Strong hands-on background with backend platforms (Java/Spring, C#, Go).
Extensive experience with AWS and/or Azure, including Kubernetes and serverless architectures.
Proven expertise in DevOps, CI/CD, and platform engineering, including infrastructure-as-code.
Strong grounding in Site Reliability Engineering practices (SLOs, observability, incident analysis).
Experience guiding or reviewing security architecture, including IAM, data protection, and secure-by-design practices.
Ability to influence technical direction across teams without direct authority.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex trade-offs to engineers and leadership.
Demonstrated passion for mentorship, technical excellence, and engineering rigor.
