Job Description
Job Role : Senior Search Platform Engineer (Apache Solr)
Location: Hyderabad / Kochi
Work Type: Contact to Hire (1+ year), Onsite-5days
Were hiring a Senior Search Platform Engineer to design, operate, and optimize large-scale distributed search systems handling hundreds of millions to billions of documents.
What Youll Do
- Own and operate large-scale search clusters
- Optimize indexing, querying, sharding, and replication strategies
- Troubleshoot performance and scalability issues in production
- Support migration/modernization initiatives (e.g., Solr OpenSearch/Elasticsearch)
- Improve search relevance, latency, and throughput
What You Bring
- 7+ years in backend/platform/infrastructure engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Apache Solr And Elasticsearch or OpenSearch
- Experience running search systems at very large scale
- Deep understanding of distributed systems (sharding, replication, failover)
- Proven expertise in performance tuning and production troubleshooting
