Job Title: Platform Engineer
Location: Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore
Business & Team: CTO – Platform Hosting
Impact &contribution: The Next Gen Modernization team is pivotal transformation squad to achieve the DevOps driven automation vision. A Platform Engineer will take the ownership of development and deployment of automated components with precision delivery of the squad’s vison. The squad will be involved with engineers and Business Analysts in Business units to creatively solve their problems and pain points.
Roles & responsibilities:
- Design and implement automation solutions using Python and DevOps.
- This includes creating scripts and tools to automate tasks, reduce manual work, and improve process efficiency.
- Utilizing Python's libraries and frameworks, develop robust automation for infrastructure, deployment, and monitoring systems, optimizing workflows and minimizing errors.
- CI/CD Pipeline setting up and maintaining using GitHub Actions, Ansible and other DevOps tools. This includes automated workflows for testing, integration, and deployment of code changes.
- Effectively integrate AI capabilities into the infrastructure, automate the gathering of business requirements through intelligent data analysis, and enhance automated testing processes by using AI-driven testing tools.
- Managing and maintaining the infrastructure ensuring that the infrastructure is scalable, without compromising performance.
- Implement and enforce security measures to protect our infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities. This includes regular security assessments, patch management, and compliance with industry standards.
- Ensure that all systems and processes comply with security standards and regulations. Implement security best practices and conduct regular security assessments.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of the workloads.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to align on goals and objectives.
Essential skills:
- Total Years of experience: 3+ (Not more than 7 years)
- Strong knowledge of scripting and coding languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell is crucial for automating tasks and processes.
- A strong understanding of AI is crucial. This includes knowledge of algorithms, neural networks, natural language processing, and other AI techniques.
- Proficiency in using AI frameworks and is essential.
- Expertise in CI/CD practices and tools such as GitHub Actions, Ansible, Jenkins to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
- Proficient with JIRA, Confluence, Scrum and Agile framework and culture. ServiceNow, Operations and service management would be an addon.
- Proficiency in version control systems like Git to manage and automate code changes and collaboration.
- Proficiency in private cloud platforms to automate the deployment and management of cloud resources.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools to automate the monitoring and logging of infrastructure and applications.

Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
