Job Description
You’ll be our: Plant Controller
YOU’LL BE BASED AT: IBC Knowledge Park, Bengaluru
YOU’LL BE ALIGNED WITH: Finance Controller
YOU’LL BE A MEMBER OF: Corporate Finance & Accounts
WHAT YOU’LL DO AT ATHER:
- Be a key member of the Finance Controllership Team and primarily be responsible for managing day to day and period end accounting of Plant operation
- Handle inventory valuation and consumption accounting
- Support Record to Report team for financial reporting by reconciling and maintaining workings of Cost of production, purchase and inventory valuation in compliance with Ind AS
- Build scalable ERP platforms with strong ICFR framework in Fixed assets and inventor management
- Manage statutory audit for Plant operations (Limited reviews and Final)
- Actively manage sub-processes of Inventory, Fixed Asset capitalization and Plant related expenditure. This includes end to end ownership from process and reporting perspective
- Run material vendor reconciliation routines; build strong internal controls for day-to-day compliances, audits etc. and periodic attestations/testing
- Represent the function in all business meetings to ensure compliance with accounting, controls, reconciliation and reporting
- Lead and manage submissions for secretarial, tax audit and tax assessment engagements and litigations
- Be a core team of the due-diligence projects for fund (equity/debt) raising, rating agencies
- Manage litigations and handle external authorities together with external experts
- Visit Plant at least two days in a week for meetings and manage the operations
HERE’S WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- In-depth experience of Accounting processes with prior experience of IND-AS reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in Plant controllership/accounting in a listed manufacturing company
- Experience in accounting applications – SAP, BPC, Oracle, etc
- Ability to build successful relationship across stakeholders
- Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and work within strict timelines
YOU BRING TO ATHER:
- A Chartered accountant
- Relevant work experience of 8-12 years (post qualification)
