Educational Qualification

Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering / Business Administration / related discipline with relevant experience in placement coordination, internships, or career guidance

Experience

Minimum 23 years in placement coordination, internship management, corporate relations, or recruitment interface in universities/engineering institutions; experience handling large student placement programs preferred

Role Summary

The Placement Officer plays a pivotal role in managing campus placements and internships for RV University students, ensuring strong corporate engagement, structured placement processes, enhanced opportunities, and improved employability outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement placement & internship strategies aligned to market needs
• Build and sustain strong industry, corporate, and MNC/ GCC relationships
• Create placement pipelines and secure premium recruitment & internship opportunities
• Plan and administer internship programs to enhance student industry readiness
• Establish MoUs and long-term collaboration with industry partners
• Improve placement outcomes in terms of recruiter count, package quality, and opportunities
• Coordinate recruitment drives, career fairs, pre-placement talks, and interview processes
• Maintain placement data, analyze trends, and submit periodic performance reports
• Serve as primary liaison between students and companies
• Provide career counselling and guidance to students
