Avnzor is a Saudi-based, app-first health, beauty, and wellness platform serving the modern GCC consumer. Our ecommerce ecosystem supports 60,000+ SKUs, high transaction volumes, and complex integrations across mobile applications, Shopify, OMS, WMS, and multiple payment gateways.

As we scale aggressively in the Kingdom, our custom backend built on CodeIgniter plays a mission-critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, payment reliability, and system performance.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Riyadh for a PHP CodeIgniter Developer I at Avnzor.

This role is focused on building and optimizing high-performance backend systems that power our mobile app, Shopify storefront, inventory management, and order lifecycle processes.

You will be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining backend systems using PHP (CodeIgniter framework)
• Designing and optimizing RESTful APIs used by mobile applications and Shopify
• Managing real-time inventory synchronization across 60,000+ SKUs
• Implementing secure and reliable order lifecycle logic (cart payment validation inventory commit fulfillment trigger)
• Handling payment gateway callbacks and transaction validation logic
• Preventing overselling and ensuring stock accuracy
• Optimizing database structure and complex queries for high-volume data
• Implementing caching and performance improvement strategies
• Troubleshooting sync failures and backend performance issues
• Supporting internal dashboards and operational tools

This is a core system ownership role not just feature development.

Qualifications

• Strong proven experience in PHP with CodeIgniter framework
• Experience building scalable ecommerce backend systems
• Advanced MySQL database design and query optimization skills
• Experience managing large product catalogs (20K+ SKUs preferred, 60K+ ideal)
• Strong experience designing RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with Shopify API integration
• Experience handling payment gateway integrations and webhooks
• Understanding of transaction-safe inventory management
• Experience with caching systems (Redis/Memcached preferred)
• Strong debugging and system troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Git and structured deployment processes
