What makes the role meaty?

• Stake Holder Engagement and Management: Assist in commercial broiler Integration team to achieve breed performance standard. Plan along with Procurement team to get right quality/company medicines & vaccination for farming operations.
• Production plans: Prepare and execute parent placement plan based on annual Chicks requirements.
• Identify suitable breeding farms and execute the contracts. Suggest improvements in the current plan aiming for high quality and Optimal Cost of production. Should be aware of the market trend and the industry requirement for the product.
• Manage day to day breeding operations (Multiple Units) and will be accountable for parent flock performance as per the company/breed standard
• Negotiations: Negotiate with the suppliers for quantity, price, and delivery schedules. Responsible for renegotiating on new contracts if anything changes.
• Communication: Should be able to download the information down the line and vice versa to the sourcing manager and within the department and the vendors. Knowledge of local language is a plus.

We hope that you have..

• 6-8 years of experience in Science/Poultry Science/BVSC/MVSC
• Should display ownership of their work and ensure that deliverables are completed in time with quality.
• Should be a good communicator. Should be able to spot trends and develop solutions proactively.
• Exposure to poultry breeding Farm with minimum five years experience in handling multiple Brooding & Growing and Laying units. Exposure to Cobb/Ross/Hubbard breed
• Ability to understand operations and be able to identify and improve important metrices (Hatching Eggs Cost, Hatchability, Chicks per Parent, quality)
• Experience: In a Poultry breeding company having minimum of five years experience, and with knowledge of the local language Kannada/Tamil (preferred, not mandatory).
• Deep understanding of the breeding operations or willingness to learn.
