OT MANAGER

1.       Maximize theatre utilization, Consultant compliance and maintain clinical standards

2.       Promote effective communications with members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, using their contributions effectively in the delivery of care and the service.

3.       Ensure compliance for all defined Quality standards.

4.       Take full responsibility of stock control and Clinical Audits

1.       Provides leadership and direction for the staff in the Pre-operative arena while supporting and actualizing the goals of the department, division & services.

2.       Ensures the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient care by monitoring and evaluating patient care processes in the Pre-operative environment, acting in the role of patient advocate.

3.       Recruits and retains competent, compassionate staff while monitoring performance standards and promoting fair labor practices.

4.       Promotes a work environment that demonstrates caring by accessibility of safe equipment and adequate supplies in an efficiently arranged physical setting.

5.       Operationalizes and participates in continuous quality improvement and risk management programs at the unit(s) level in a collaborative manner with multi-disciplinary colleagues.

6.       Monitors fiscal budget to control operational and capital expenditures while monitoring and adjusting staffing patterns to improve unit productivity.

7.       Identifies appropriate communication, and coordination for ensure smooth processes within the Operating Rooms, supporting Anesthetists, Surgeons, Registrars, and medical students, Nursing and Healthcare Coordinators,

8.       Provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce regulatory mandates and compliance.

9.       Participate in survey preparation, processes, policy development and implementation.

10.   Performs related duties as required.

11.   Any other work assigned by the management from time to time.
