Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have Experience with IBM AIX, Linux, SUN Solaris UNIX operating Systems. Hands-on experience as an oracle DBA, working with Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g. Need to apply PSU patches to various versions of oracle databases rolling for RAC Systems. Upgrades of databases to 11gR2 Rolling upgrades for RAC environment is a plus. Experience with Golden Gate implementation and troubleshooting. Install, configure and troubleshooting experience on multi node RAC systems on ASM. Upgrade & Migration of large databases across data Centre. Identify performance bottlenecks and propose solutions. ASM Instance Creation and troubleshooting. Good Understanding of oracle Architecture.

Good-to-Have Support several application and support teams with numerous on-going projects. Third party backup solution configuration (TSM). Upgrade & Migration of large databases across datacentre. Identify performance bottlenecks and propose solutions

SN Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

1 Proven ability in UNIX shell scripting and PL/SQL coding.

2 Upgrade & Migration of large databases across data Centre.

3 Experience in setting up Disaster Recovery sites activities

4 Manage regularly scheduled backups using Oracles RMAN and occasionally a database recovery.

5 Coordinate the implementation of technical controls to support and enforce defined security policies
