About the Role: We are seeking a proactive Operations and Maintenance Engineer to ensure maximum uptime of our production lines while continuously improving efficiency. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who loves both fixing machines and optimizing processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute planned preventive maintenance and respond to unplanned breakdowns to minimize downtime
  • Install, commission, and set up new production machinery and equipment
  • Perform root-cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions
  • Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, etc.)
  • Apply Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC) to reduce waste, defects, and variation
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to optimize workflows
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and update CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
  • Train operators on basic troubleshooting and proper machine operation


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting is a plus


Required Skills & Certifications

  • Lean Manufacturing experience (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, 5S)
  • Six Sigma Basic Knowledge
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
  • Proficient with maintenance software/CMMS
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience with Autodesk Fusion will be a plus
  • Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD will be a plus
