About the Role

In-depth knowledge in Data Centre Networking systems/services, LAN switch technology (including Fabric path, Spanning tree, Vxlan, EVPN), routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP). Ability to manage a multi-vendor WAN, multi-protocol routing, including but not limited to EIGRP, BPG4, OSPF.

Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of Cumulus Linux OS architecture, configuration, and deployment.
• Familiarity with NVUE (Network Virtualization User Experience) and ifupdown2.
• Understanding of hardware platforms like NVIDIA Spectrum switches.
• Deep knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols, including:
• VLANs, STP, MLAG
• OSPF, BGP, EVPN, VXLAN
• Routing tables, ACLs, VRFs
• UFM Telemetry: The base levelreal-time monitoring of switches, adapters, cables, system configuration and streaming telemetry to on-prem or cloud database.
• UFM Enterprise: Adds fabric visibility & controlautomated network discovery, provisioning, secure cable management, congestion tracking, job scheduler integration (e.g., Slurm, IBM Spectrum LSF) and REST APIs.
• UFM Cyber-AI: Highest tierincludes all above plus AI/ML analytics to detect abnormal behavior, changes in usage profiles, predict failures, correlate hidden events, perform preventive maintenance.
• Network troubleshooting using tools like tcpdump, ping, traceroute, and ethtool.
• Experience with: Ansible, Netmiko, Nornir, or Napalm.
• Python scripting for automation and validation.
• Understanding of systemd, interfaces, bridging, and bonding.
• Familiarity with network namespaces, Netlink, and SNMP.
• Knowledge of network monitoring tools:
• Prometheus, Grafana, Telegraf
• Syslog, SNMP traps, NetQ
• Understanding of NVIDIA NetQ for visibility and validation.
• Day to day support on the network administration.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues in a multi-tiered environment.
• 24x7 management & Monitoring of network infrastructure.
• Monitor LAN/WAN performance, ensure capacity planning is performed, and proactively assess issues and make recommendations for improvement.
• Follow & commit with Yottas Policy statements (e.g. QMS/EMS/OHS/ISMS/ITSM/BCMS/EnMS etc.)
• Undertake applicable training as communicated from time to time.
• Understand the organizations expectations towards all management systems the company is certified for.
• Participation in Risk assessment process, contribute to achieving departmental & management system objectives.
• Adhere to confidentiality policy to safeguard sensitive company information, maintain trust with clients and partners, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• Perform their duties in the event of emergency as per roles in ERP/BCMS plan.
• Assist in maintaining PIMS controls throughout personal data lifecycle.
