Job Description
Technical Skills:
Working experience of supporting applications in
· Extensive hands-on experience with the Murex GUI, back-end infrastructure, Murex services, Workflow (pre-trade and post-trade), and batch structure are essential.
· Knowledge of trade, deliverable and event life cycles in Murex.
· Extensive experience with some version of UNIX. Linux preferred but not essential
· Knowledge of clusters is highly desirable
· Database experience – Sybase ideal but other DB types are acceptable.
· Ability to troubleshoot and think “outside the box” to resolve rarely seen problems
· Familiarity with the functions and structures of XSL, XML, FIX, MXML
· Ability to read code is essential. Perl and shell scripts are used extensively in the customized Murex environment, as well as a small amount of Java. Being able to modify existing code or writing your own code is desirable
· Proven track record of delivering to financial institutions.
