Hiring: Mid-Level Wayfinding & Signage Designer

Location: Pune | On-site | Thirty Second December Designs Pvt. Ltd.

Thirty Second December Designs Pvt. Ltd. is a specialized environmental graphic design consultancy working at the intersection of architecture, brand, and user psychology.

Since 2012, we have been designing system-driven wayfinding strategies for corporate campuses, commercial developments, retail environments, and mixed-use projects.

We do not design signboards.

We design navigation ecosystems.

We are looking for a Mid/ Senior-level Wayfinding & Signage Designer who can think in systems, understand architecture, and translate brand into spatial communication.

This is not a pure graphic design role.

Role Overview

You will work on projects from concept to detailed design under strategic direction. The role requires spatial thinking, coordination with architects and consultants, and the ability to produce build-ready design packages.

Key Responsibilities

Wayfinding Strategy & Concept

• Participate in user journey mapping and circulation analysis
• Develop sign families and hierarchy systems
• Translate brand guidelines into spatial communication systems
• Contribute to concept narratives and client presentations

Design Development

• Design directional, identification, regulatory and experiential sign systems
• Develop message schedules and sign location plans
• Create spatial mockups and visualizations
• Prepare structured, client-ready presentations

Technical Coordination

• Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants and project teams
• Ensure signage integrates seamlessly with the built environment
• Work closely with internal technical drawing team
• Review fabrication inputs and shop drawings

Documentation & Delivery

• Prepare detailed design packages
• Maintain organized file structures and revision logs
• Deliver work within defined timelines
• Support site visits and design clarifications

Required Skills

• 35 years of experience in signage / environmental graphics / spatial branding
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD (mandatory)
• Understanding of materials, finishes and fabrication processes
• Strong typographic and systems-thinking ability
• High attention to detail

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Environmental Design, Architecture or related field.

Strong portfolio demonstrating built projects (not only conceptual work).

• Independently handles at least one mid-scale project
• Produces technically sound and brand-aligned design packages
• Thinks in scalable systems, not isolated signboards
