Middleware Webhosting Administrator (C12)

The role resides within the CTI Web & Application Hosting Services  team to support web hosting and middleware hosting services for Intranet and Internet facing applications for a range of business units globally across SMB(Services, Markets, Banking), CISO (Citi Information Security Office) as well as CTI (Citi Technology Infrastructure) organization.

This position is responsible for deliverables ranging from implementing web and middleware servers technical roadmaps coordination, change management, implementation of Internet technology based applications, maintaining of web and app hosting standards, and application outage restoration and problem resolution

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise in application hosting technologies with specialized emphasis on IBM technologies i.e. WebSphere/WebLogic Application Server, IBM Liberty, WebSphere Message Broker,  WebLogic Forms and Reports, IHS (HTTP Server),
  • Provide expertise in other web hosting technologies like Oracle Application Server, Oracle HTTP Server, Apache, Tomcat
  • Provide expertise in Native cloud & orchestration infrastructure with strong knowledge on OpenShift , Kubernetes, dockers, etc..
  • Provide expertise in Java/J2EE deployments and Python &  Unix Shell script programming.
  • Problem analysis and resolution from routine issues to critical failures within established service level targets
  • Security certificate management involved for webhosting products.
  • Support technology improvements such as new infrastructure install and hardware/software upgrade and engineering support
  • Analyse customer requirements to ensure all standards, policies and guidelines are upheld from the information security perspective and support routine compliance activities
  • Provide L3 oversight and direction for Audit, Risk and Compliance matters.
  • Disaster recovery planning and documentation. Conduct regular COB tests to check integrity and functionality of disaster environments.
  • Supports risk assessments whenever technical expertise is required; Assists Security Incident Response Teams in the investigation of incidents and the training of key staff
  • Ability to analyse Information Security Procedures and help implement the same across all of IT and Business; Ability to understand, analyse and apply corporate policy/guidelines and business specific policies; Thorough understanding of industry and corporate technology standards for  Information Security; Strong judgment and decision-making skills

Qualifications

  • Skilled software professional with at least 8+ years’ experience in I.T and at least 6+ years hands-on experience on middleware webhosting and application server products in a large organization preferably banking environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4-6 years’ experience administering IBM middleware products i.e. WebSphere and WebLogic Application Server, WebSphere Portal, WebSphere Message Broker, IBM Liberty Server, WebLogic Forms and Reports, IHS (HTTP Server)
  • 2-3 years’ experience in IT security compliance and implementation and use of security protocols (SSL, Server certificates etc.)
  • Good experience using Java, J2EE, XML, SQL and Shell/Perl Scripting in a UNIX environment.
  • Reasonable experience with Unix system administration and TCP/IP networking
  • Familiarity of Compliance and risk management frameworks and methodologies (ISO27002, SDLC).
  • Strong skill in Python & Shell scripting.
  • Strong analytical & troubleshooting skills.
