Job Description:

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional with strong Manufacturing domain expertise and hands-on experience in MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) to support digital transformation initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for gathering functional and technical MES requirements, designing smart manufacturing solutions, and implementing Industry 4.0 technologies across manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Domain

• Understand and analyze end-to-end manufacturing processes including production planning, shop floor operations, quality management, maintenance, and inventory tracking.
• Work closely with plant operations, engineering, and IT teams to identify digital manufacturing opportunities.
• Translate manufacturing business requirements into functional MES solutions.

MES Functional Responsibilities

• Gather and document MES functional specifications.
• Define workflows for production tracking, work orders, quality control, traceability, and equipment integration.
• Support MES implementation, configuration, and deployment.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and support go-live activities.

MES Technical Responsibilities

• Create technical MES specifications, including system architecture, integration, and data flows.
• Integrate MES with enterprise systems such as:
• ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• PLM
• SCADA / PLC
• IoT platforms
• Define data models, APIs, and system interfaces.
• Support troubleshooting and system enhancements.

Industry 4.0 / Smart Manufacturing

• Implement Industry 4.0 solutions such as:
• IoT-enabled shop floor connectivity
• Real-time production monitoring
• Predictive maintenance
• Digital twins
• Advanced analytics
• Enable data-driven manufacturing decision making.
• Support smart factory initiatives and digital transformation programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science
• 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing IT / MES / Smart Manufacturing
• Experience in MES implementation or digital manufacturing projects

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Knowledge of data analytics, AI/ML in manufacturing
• Understanding of ISA-95 / ISA-88 standards

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent stakeholder communication
• Ability to work with cross-functional manufacturing and IT teams
