Mechanical Design Manager

Requirements and Qualifications:

• BE/B-Tech - Mechanical.
• Experience minimum15-20 years in design development, and management / SPMs / Sheet-metal and Structural Fabrication field.
• Should able to lead a team for electro-mechanical product design.
• Well verse with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., Auto CAD, Pro-E, CREO, Solid Works or other).
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Hands On experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulation tools.
• Possesses strong knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Lean Design methodologies to optimize product development and production efficiency.
• Expert in Mathematical computing and analytical tools.
• Good Creativity and Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a full cycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture and implement).
• Produce outline designs.
• Conduct experiments methodically, analyses data and interprets results.
• Test and evaluate theoretical designs.
• Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems.
• Evaluate final products overall performance, reliability and safety.
• Alter and modify design with approach of product flexibility keeping in mind quality deliverables and non-compromise product specifications.
• Estimate budget and scope of project.
• Prepare product reports and documentation.
