MDM Oracle EDQ

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced MDM Specialist with strong expertise in Oracle Enterprise Data Quality (EDQ) to lead data quality, data standardization, and master data governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have handson experience in EDQ development, data migration, and data integration, supported by strong SQL/PLSQL capabilities and a solid understanding of MDM frameworks and data quality principles.

Key Responsibilities

MDM & EDQ Development

• Design, develop, and optimize Oracle EDQ jobs, workflows, match/merge rules, profiling, cleansing, standardization, and validation processes.
• Implement data quality rules, survivorship logic, parsing, deduplication, and address standardization as per business requirements.
• Configure EDQ dashboards, metrics, and exception management workflows for ongoing data governance.

Data Migration & Data Quality Management

• Lead data migration efforts across various environments, including mapping, transformation, cleansing, and reconciliation.
• Perform in-depth data profiling and analysis to identify quality issues, gaps, inconsistencies, and root causes.
• Build and maintain data standardization frameworks for structured and unstructured datasets.

Data Integration & System Connectivity

• Integrate MDM and EDQ components with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, flat files, and ETL pipelines.
• Work closely with integration teams to ensure seamless data flow across multi-system environments.

Technical Delivery & Documentation

• Translate business requirements into technical design documents, solution architecture, and development specifications.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, performance tuning guidelines, and best practices in EDQ and MDM.
• Support environment migrations across DEV, QA, UAT, and PROD, including deployment validations and issue resolution.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Work with business users to understand master data needs, data usage patterns, and governance expectations.
• Provide subject-matter expertise on MDM concepts, data governance policies, and data quality frameworks.
• Communicate technical issues and project updates effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

• 510 years of experience in MDM and Data Quality solutions.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Oracle EDQ (Enterprise Data Quality) profiling, cleansing, standardization, match/merge, workflows.
• Excellent technical knowledge of data migration, data cleansing, enrichment, and standardization processes.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, including complex queries, procedures, and performance tuning.
• Thorough understanding of MDM principles such as golden record creation, governance models, lineage, and metadata.
• Knowledge of data import/export utilities, bulk data operations, and file-based integrations.
• Experience integrating MDM/EDQ with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
• Exposure to Oracle SQM/CDM (Customer Data Management) is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Background in large-scale data transformation or modernization programs.
• Experience with Cloud-based MDM/EDQ deployments (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azureoptional).
