Materials Engineering Specialist

Havells Centre for Research & Innovation (CRI) is expanding its material science leadership. We are looking for an experienced Material Technology Specialist to drive nextgeneration material innovation, reliability enhancement, and futureready material strategies across Havells product ecosystem.

Experience & Qualification

• 8+ years
• M.Tech / M.E. / Ph.D. in Polymer, Chemical, or Materials Science

Key Responsibilities

1 Material Technology Development

• Develop nextgeneration materials & formulations (polymer/metal/ceramics).
• Ensure materialprocess compatibility for molding, extrusion, compounding, metallurgical processes, and assembly.
• Deliver qualified material innovations annually aligned with product needs.

2 Advanced Research & NPD Execution

• Lead feasibility studies, benchmarking, supplier development, testing & validation.
• Accelerate development cycle time through structured experimentation & datadriven decisions.
• Ensure timely delivery of material solutions for all NPD launches.

Handson technical involvement with strategic oversight and ability to convert labscale learning into manufacturingready solutions.

3 Testing, Characterization & RCA

• Establish robust material characterization using FTIR, DSC, TGA, MFI, EDXRF, microscopy, etc.
• Drive RCA for material deviations and field failures with preventive actions.
• Enhance reliability & consistency across product categories.

4 Team Leadership & Capability Building
