Cat Technology – India | Team of Excellence
Cat Technology is seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager (SG24) to lead the Cost Modeling Team in India. This role carries full end‑to‑end accountability for a 30+ member engineering organization and the successful delivery of a $1.5M+ engineering services portfolio. The incumbent will play a critical leadership role in driving operational excellence, talent development, and strong partnerships with US and regional stakeholders, while enabling measurable business impact through high‑quality engineering services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and direction to engineering teams by driving effective staffing strategies, capability building, and robust performance management; mentor and develop leaders to build a strong leadership pipeline.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high‑quality engineering services across:
- Should Cost Modelling
- Low Cost Producer (LCP) support
- Aftermarket OPACC Improvement Support
- Digital Support
- Own and manage the engineering services budget, ensuring financial rigor, cost competitiveness, and sustained profitability.
- Establish and sustain trusted, value‑based relationships with US and regional customers through predictable delivery, transparency, and proactive engagement.
- Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and standardization, driving scalable and efficient engineering processes aligned with enterprise priorities.
- Provide senior technical leadership and consulting support, enabling informed decision‑making and effective problem resolution across the organization.
- Lead and govern high‑impact engineering initiatives and projects, both short‑ and long‑term, ensuring alignment with engineering strategy, business objectives, and product quality requirements.
Education Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an accredited engineering discipline, including but not limited to:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Materials Science / Materials Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
