Role Overview

We are seeking experienced professionals for the role of Manager / Senior Manager Underwriting & Placement , with strong exposure to Property and Engineering insurance risks and proven experience in managing corporate clients . This role will focus on underwriting analysis, risk placement, insurer negotiations, and delivering optimal insurance solutions for large and mid-sized corporate accounts.

Note: Candidates with only retail insurance experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle underwriting and placement for Property & Engineering insurance risks
• Analyze corporate risk profiles and structure suitable insurance programs
• Coordinate with insurers for quotations, negotiations, and final placements
• Manage and service corporate clients (mid to large accounts) end-to-end
• Prepare underwriting submissions, presentations, and placement summaries
• Ensure competitive pricing and coverage alignment with client requirements
• Liaise with internal teams, insurers, and clients to ensure smooth policy issuance
• Stay updated with market trends, insurer appetite, and regulatory guidelines
• Support renewals, endorsements, and policy modifications as required

Key Requirements

• Minimum 56 years of relevant experience in underwriting and placement
• Prior experience with an Insurance Company or Insurance Broker is mandatory
• Strong expertise in Property & Engineering lines of business
• Hands-on experience managing corporate insurance clients
• Good understanding of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and policy wordings
• Strong negotiation, communication, and client-handling skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts

Compensation & Benefits

• CTC: 1015 LPA (depending on experience and fitment)
• Notice Period: Immediate joiners preferred; buyout option can be evaluated
