Job Description Manager / Deputy Manager

Reporting to: Senior Management / Finance Head

Position Summary

Steelbazaar is looking to hire an experienced Manager / Deputy Manager with strong exposure to NBFCs, fund raising, and supply chain management. The role will play a critical part in strengthening Steelbazaars financing partnerships, working capital solutions, and supply chain efficiency.

The ideal candidate will bring 12+ years of experience in NBFCs, financial institutions, or related domains, with hands-on involvement in structured finance, fund raising, credit assessment, and supply chain finance.

Key Responsibilities

NBFC & Financial Partnerships

Manage and strengthen relationships with NBFCs, lenders, and financial institutions.

Coordinate onboarding and operational execution of supply chain finance programs.

Act as the key liaison between internal teams and external finance partners.

Fund Raising & Structured Finance

Support fund raising initiatives, including debt structures, working capital lines, and NBFC tie-ups.

Assist in preparation of proposals, credit notes, financial models, and lender presentations.

Coordinate due diligence, documentation, and closure of funding arrangements.

Supply Chain Management & Finance

Support development and execution of supply chain finance solutions for manufacturers, distributors, and traders.

Work closely with operations and business teams to align financing with supply chain flows.

Monitor utilization, limits, repayment cycles, and risk exposure.

Credit & Risk Management

Review customer financials, credit profiles, and transaction data.

Assist in credit assessment, limit setting, and ongoing monitoring.

Ensure adherence to internal credit policies and lender requirements.

Operations & Process Excellence

Ensure smooth execution of financing transactions with minimal TAT.

Improve processes related to documentation, compliance, and reporting.

Maintain accurate MIS and performance reports for management review.

Compliance & Governance

Ensure compliance with NBFC guidelines, regulatory norms, and internal controls.

Coordinate audits, lender reviews, and regulatory reporting as required.

Key Requirements

Experience

12+ years of experience in NBFCs, banks, financial institutions, or supply chain finance roles.

Hands-on experience in:

oNBFC operations and lender coordination

oFund raising / debt structuring

oSupply chain finance or working capital solutions

Exposure to manufacturing, trading, or B2B ecosystems (steel industry experience preferred).

Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of NBFC products, credit structures, and lending processes.

Good knowledge of supply chain finance and working capital cycles.

Financial analysis, credit evaluation, and risk assessment skills.

Strong coordination, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.

Detail-oriented with strong process and execution focus.

Education

CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA or equivalent qualification preferred.

Commerce, finance, or management background is desirable.
