Key Responsibilities

Cloud & Agentic AI Infrastructure Management

• Architect and maintain secure sandboxed environments (e.g. Azure Kubernetes services or Azure Container Apps) to allow AI agents to safely execute code and tools.
• Implement State & Memory Management: Set up and optimize high-performance vector databases and caching layers (Redis) for agent persistence.
• Ensure adherence to best practices for security, scalability, and performance in multi cloud environments.

Developer Collaboration & AI Enablement

• Work closely with software and data engineering teams to design, provision, and optimize development and test environments.
• Orchestration Support: Assist in deploying multi-agent frameworks like LangGraph, AutoGen, or CrewAI on cloud-native services.
• Build self-service tools, templates, and CI/CD integrations to empower developers with secure and compliant cloud infrastructure.

Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Automate provisioning, scaling, and configuration management tasks using Python/Bash/Powershell.
• GPU Provisioning: Automate the lifecycle of GPU-based compute clusters (Azure N series or AWS P-series) for LLM inference and agent reasoning tasks.

Cost Optimization

• Continuously monitor cloud usage to identify cost-saving opportunities (e.g., instance rightsizing, spot/reserved instances, auto-scaling policies).
• Token & Model Cost Management: Implement tracking for LLM API consumption and optimize infrastructure to reduce latency and inference costs.

Monitoring, Logging, and Performance Tuning

• Implement monitoring and alerting systems using CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and third-party tools.
• AI Observability: Implement tracing for agentic "thought chains" and tool-calling logs using tools like LangSmith, Weights & Biases, or Arize Phoenix.
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot performance issues in cloud-hosted applications.

Security, Governance, and Compliance

• Enforce IAM policies, network segmentation, and data protection standards.
• Prompt Security & Guardrails: Collaborate with security teams to implement prompt injection mitigation and automated output guardrails.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).

Backup, DR & Business Continuity

• Design and implement resilient architectures and disaster recovery plans across both Azure and AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of hands-on experience managing Azure and AWS infrastructure.
• AI/ML Ops Exposure: Demonstrated experience in managing production-grade AI workloads or LLM-based applications.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python), with a heavy emphasis on Python for AI tool integration.
• Familiarity with secure DevOps practices, VPC/Subnet design, VPN/ExpressRoute/Transit Gateway, and hybrid networking.
• Containerization Expertise: Deep knowledge of Kubernetes (AKS/EKS) and serverless scaling for elastic AI workloads.
• Advanced AI Certifications: Azure AI Engineer Associate or AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty are highly preferred.
