Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Kolkata for a Manager (Administration) at South Point High School. The Manager will oversee administrative operations, including managing non-teaching staff, ensuring compliance with school policies, and coordinating logistics for school functions and events. The role involves maintaining facility management, handling vendor contracts, and ensuring smooth day-to-day school operations. The Manager will also liaise with various departments, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and contribute to the creation of an efficient and safe learning environment for students and staff.


Educational Qualification - Graduate/Post Graduate

MBA (HR/Administration/Operations) or Postgraduate in Management/Public

Administration preferred

Experience - Around 10 years, preferably in educational institutions

Remuneration - Commensurate with experience and industry standards


Key Responsibilities:


Handling complete facilities and infrastructure setup involving classrooms, labs, library, canteen, offices

etc.

Ensuring proper maintenance and upkeep of playgrounds, courts, sports equipment and musical

instruments and other building services.

To maintain proper records and ensure proper functioning of all equipment, furniture, fixtures,

installations, including fire-fighting system, CCTV, PA System, air-conditioning etc in the School.

Coordination with all Government & Semi-Government bodies like labour department, transport

department, police etc.

Selecting and developing vendors for meeting various facility requirements of the organization; handling

vendor bills and ensuring smooth payments.

Maintaining direct communication with the school's leadership team (including School Principal, Vice

Principal and others).

Preparing various reports for senior management and assisting in critical decision-making.

Manage housekeeping stores and ensure proper availability of all materials. Procuring capital items and

consumables. Floating enquiries based on purchase requests, obtaining offers, negotiating with suppliers,

preparing purchase orders, following up for timely delivery and certifying bills for payment.

To oversee and monitor the smooth functioning of the School bus service for students and maintain

proper records.

To ensure smooth & proper movement of the students while in the school and to allocate duties of staff

at various location throughout the day for this purpose.

To monitor attendance and absenteeism of all members of service staff, contractors staff, and

maintenance staff.

To assign duties and monitor work of all outsourced staff in School.

To engage with Class IV staff workers Union as and when needed.

Assisting the academic team in various activities of the school.

Setting systems and procedures for effective functioning with regard to transport, security, stores and

day-to-day operations.

Ensuring implementation of HR policies as per guidelines.

Grievance handling of staff members, parents, and students.
