You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of legacy systems while also supporting modernization efforts. Your work will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives, particularly in the retail domain. Your ResponsibilityDevelop and maintain applications using Microfocus COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2.Write efficient and optimized COBOL code to support business processes.Perform impact analysis and code enhancements for existing systems.Create and maintain Unix Shell scripts to automate batch processes and system tasks.Troubleshoot and debug shell scripts in a Unix/Linux environment.Work with CICS for online transaction processing and ensure seamless integration with backend systems.Support production environments, resolve incidents, and perform root cause analysis.Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.Manage and manipulate data stored in DB2 and VSAM datasets.Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements, especially in the retail domain.Document technical specifications, test cases, and user manuals.Apply strong analytical skills to solve complex technical problems.Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and end-users.Capgemini is a global business and technology transformation partner, helping organizations to accelerate their dual transition to a digital and sustainable world, while creating tangible impact for enterprises and society.
