Job Title: Lighting Designer & Business Development Manager

Location: Mumbai, India

About the Role

Were launching a new Strategic Business Unit (SBU) within Workstore, focused on premium lighting solutions for residential and office spaces and were looking for a trailblazer to lead the charge. This hybrid role combines creative lighting design with high-impact business development, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of our lighting division and grow into a leadership role.


Key Responsibilities

Lighting Design

  • Conceptualize and execute lighting designs for mid to high-end residential and commercial office projects.
  • Develop detailed lighting layouts using Dialux software (proficiency required).
  • Collaborate with architects and interior designers to deliver integrated lighting solutions.
  • Prepare technical documentation, mood boards, and client presentations.
  • Familiarity with 3D rendering tools (e.g., SketchUp, V-Ray, Lumion) is a strong advantage.


Business Development

  • Build and nurture relationships with architects, designers, and consultants across Mumbai independently with complete accountability as KAM.
  • Generate qualified leads and project enquiries in the residential and office segments.
  • Conduct presentations, demos, and client meetings to showcase lighting solutions.
  • Track market trends and provide strategic input to enhance offerings.
  • Represent the lighting division at industry events and networking forums.


Desired Candidate Profile

  • Educational Qualification: Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or related field preferred).
  • 37 years of experience in lighting design and/or business development.
  • Proven network and strong relationships with architects in Mumbai.
  • Expertise in Dialux is mandatory; knowledge of 3D rendering tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for design and client engagement.
  • Willingness to grow into a team leadership role as the SBU scales.
