Role Overview

Were looking for a fashion-forward Accessories Designer who understands that great eyewear is worn on the face, not displayed on a shelf.

This role is not for mechanical or purely industrial designers.

This is for someone who understands luxury, proportion, attitude, and what actually sells.

You will design bold, commercially viable, premium accessories, primarily eyewear, aligned with Daniel Hunters unapologetic, modern identity.

What You Must Understand (Non-Negotiable)

• Luxury positioning premium isnt about overdesign, its about restraint
• Form, proportion & face aesthetics how frames interact with different face shapes
• Global eyewear & accessory trends (runway, street, international brands)
• Commercial viability knowing the difference between:
• Looks cool
• Sells at scale

Key Responsibilities

• Design statement eyewear aligned with brand DNA
• Translate mood boards, references, and concepts into sellable designs
• Create initial sketches + detailed CAD designs
• Work closely with:
• Branding & marketing teams
• Sourcing & production teams
• Ensure designs are manufacturable without killing aesthetics
• Stay ahead of global trends, materials, finishes, and silhouettes
• Iterate designs based on costing, feedback, and market response

Required Skills

• Strong hand sketching skills (fashion sketches, not engineering drafts)
• CAD proficiency in any of the following:
• Rhino
• SolidWorks
• Fusion 360
• Illustrator (technical flats & detailing)
• Strong understanding of:
• Materials (acetate, metal, finishes, trims)
• Hinges, frame construction, and wear comfort
• Ability to balance design ambition with production reality
• Clear communication and openness to feedback

Bonus (Nice to Have)

• Prior eyewear design experience
• Exposure to international accessory brands
• Experience working with manufacturers or factories
• Understanding of Gen Z / Millennial fashion psychology
