About the Role

WAYCA Advisors is seeking a Legal Associate to support corporate advisory, transaction execution, compliance management, and legal documentation. The role provides exposure to commercial legal matters within a professional services environment and involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and vet commercial agreements including employment contracts, vendor agreements, shareholder agreements, and LLP documentation.
• Support legal and financial due diligence for transactions such as private placements, investments, and mergers & acquisitions.
• Assist with corporate compliance under the Companies Act, SEBI regulations, and other applicable laws.
• Conduct legal research and assist in preparing legal opinions, memoranda, and briefing notes.
• Support incorporation of companies and LLPs and maintain statutory records.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, regulators, and external counsel as required.
• Assist in preparing board documentation, governance materials, and regulatory filings.

Candidate Profile

Required

• LL.B from a recognized university
• Strong drafting and legal research capabilities
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational ability

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

• Internship or professional experience in corporate law firms or PCS firms
• Exposure to due diligence, fund documentation, securities law, or capital markets
• Familiarity with labour laws and corporate compliance frameworks
• Company Secretary qualification (completed or in progress)
