As a Software Testing Lead - Automation you will be an integral part of the Product Validation Team where you will play a key role in leading automation in the software testing team and be responsible for developing and scaling a high quality automation test framework by leveraging relevant and latest technologies.

What you’ll do at Ather

• Demonstrate technical leadership by owning and driving development of robust test automation frameworks that are scalable.

• Incorporating existing automation code into a framework.

• Work with testing leads to establish automation timelines, architecture, and implementation details.

• Ensuring high automation availability and timely deployment.

• Incorporate test management applications and reporting tools into automation processes.

• Develop an in-depth technical understanding of the entire software platform ( AOSP, API, UI interaction ).

• Work with the development team to ensure applications are built with test automation in mind.

• Identifying new technologies such as AI to increase velocity of automation development.

• Provide technical mentoring to team members.

Here’s what we’re looking for

• Be obsessed about quality and customer satisfaction.

• Hands-on experience with testing and automating testing on platforms such as Android, AOSP, Linux etc using Python.

• Knowledge of software testing in the automotive domain specifically in HMI and embedded systems.

• Working knowledge of relays, Arduino and MODBUS.

• Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN & UART.

• Hands-on experience in designing and developing end-to-end test environments with significant individual contribution writing code. 

• Clarity in thought and communication.

• Detail oriented.

What you bring to Ather

• BE / B Tech degree in ECE/EEE/IT with 5 - 7 years of hands on developing automation and automation frameworks for testing preferably in automotive software domain

• Experience in mentoring or leading a team

• Evidence of exceptional ability
