Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and talented engineering lead for Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Controls to join our team. As controls lead engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of control systems for our Hybrid VTOL Aircraft. This position requires a unique blend of expertise in both aerospace and electrical engineering, with a focus on creating efficient, reliable, and safe control systems for cutting-edge aircraft.You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure compliance with design requirements, safety regulations, and industry standards.

We are working on cutting-edge Vertical Take-off and Landing ( VTOL) technologies and aim to cut down travel time for cargo and humans significantly. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Lead the design, development, and testing of control systems for hybrid VTOL aircraft, including flight control algorithms, sensor integration, and actuator control.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of control engineers, setting clear objectives, monitoring progress, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering teams, such as aerodynamics, propulsion, and avionics, to ensure seamless integration of the control systems with other aircraft systems.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all control systems adhere to relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in control systems technology and apply innovative solutions to enhance aircraft performance and efficiency.
- Testing and Validation: Oversee the testing and validation of control systems, including both simulations and flight tests.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation, including design specifications, testing protocols, and user manuals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. A Masters degree is preferable.
- At least 5 years of experience in control systems engineering, with specific experience in aerospace applications. Prior experience with VTOL or hybrid aircraft is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in control theory, system dynamics, and simulation software.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience in certification of control systems with FAA/EASA or equivalent agencies is highly desirable.
