Job Description-MySQL DBA, Database Design, Relational Database -B3
Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide significant technical expertise in architecture planning and design of the concerned tower (platform, database, middleware, backup etc) as well as managing its day-to-day operations

- Excellent knowledge of MySQL Database Administration
- Monitor databases for performance, bottlenecks, and other issues, identify and deploy solutions.
- strong knowledge of MySQL Installations, Upgradations, Replications.
- Basic knowledge of one of AWS, Azure cloud infrastructures
- Good Experience on Workbench tool.
- Experience in design and implementation of platform architectures to support business requirements.
- Create / refine database complex queries, indexes, stored procedures & data mining
- Perform appropriate backup and restoration of database servers like MySQL dump/Percona backups tools.
- Hands-on experience with managing various HA implementations like bin-log replication and clustering.
- General understanding of InnoDB & MyISAM architectures
- General understanding of the design and development of applications that access MySQL.
- Deep understanding of security & authentication models with MySQL
- Working knowledge of MySQL on Windows and Linux
- Experience with large-scale, complex distributed Linux / Unix applications.
- Strong understanding of RDBMS and SQL database concepts.
- Strong desire to continue learning and expand the knowledge on to other RDBMS and MySQL architectures and administrative procedures.
- Good to have knowledge of other DBMS such as MSSQL.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal support personnel and Navisite customers.
- Experience in performance tuning and database monitoring tools(workbench).
