Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Naval Architect to join our team in Kochi. As a Junior Naval Architect, you will assist in key tasks related to ballast calculations using GHS software, preparing stability booklets and RO-RO feasibility reports. You will also contribute to the creation of statutory ship drawings, generating GHS models for heavy lift vessels/deck carriers, GHS model validation and loading condition preparation. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in ship design, stability analysis, and naval architecture under the guidance of senior professionals.
Job Description
- Assisting in Stability and Ballast calculations using GHS software
- Generating GHS Models of heavy lift vessels and Deck carriers
- Assisting in Stability booklet and RO-RO Feasibility report preparations
- Preparation of Statutory drawings of ships
- GHS Model validation and Loading condition preparation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture
- 1-2 years of experience in Ship design or stability calculations
- Knowledge of any Stability Software.
- Strong fundamentals in Hydrostatics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle design tasks independently and effectively with less supervision.
- Understanding and working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D
- Basic understanding of Class rules and IMO Regulations
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Master's degree in Naval Architecture
- Working Knowledge in GHS/Auto hydro/ Rhino-3D
- Experience of being involved in Stability booklets & Statutory drawings preparation.
- Programming knowledge (python, excel vba or similar).
