Location: Koramangala, Bangalore

Position: Full time

As a Junior Interior Designer, you will assist in creating functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces for residential and/or commercial projects. Working under the guidance of a senior designer or design manager, you will contribute to the design process and assist with project execution too.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Design Development:

• Collaborate with senior designers to develop design concepts, mood boards, and preliminary sketches.
• Assist in space planning and layout design, ensuring optimal functionality and aesthetics.
• Select and source materials, furnishings, fixtures, and finishes in line with the project's design concept and budget.

Documentation and Presentation:

• Create detailed drawings, renderings, and specifications using design software and tools.
• Assist in the preparation of design presentations for clients, including 2D and 3D visualizations.

Material and Product Research:

• Stay updated on the latest design trends, materials, and products.
• Research and recommend suitable materials and furnishings for projects.

Project Execution:

• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the timely execution of design plans.
• Assist in site visits and assessments as needed to monitor progress and quality of work.

Client Interaction:

• Participate in client meetings and discussions to gather requirements, present design concepts, and address client feedback.

Budget Management:

• Assist in managing project budgets by tracking expenses and ensuring design choices align with financial constraints.

Documentation and Records:

• Maintain accurate project files, records, and documentation for reference and future projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field (or in the process of obtaining the degree).
• Strong understanding of interior design principles, concepts, and practices.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape
• Sound knowledge of technical drawings & 3D software
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new design trends and technologies
• Entry-level to 2 years of experience in interior design is a plus
