Java Backend Developer – Azure Logic Apps

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer with Azure integration expertise to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and Azure Logic Apps, along with hands-on experience building scalable backend services and cloud-based integrations.

This role involves developing secure APIs, integrating enterprise systems using Azure integration services, and designing event-driven architectures for scalable and reliable applications.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend services using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security
• Build secure and scalable RESTful APIs
• Implement business logic, validation, and data access layers
• Ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability of backend systems
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices

Azure Integration & Logic Apps

• Design and implement integration workflows using Azure Logic Apps (Consumption or Standard)
• Develop API-based and message-based integrations
• Integrate backend services with external systems, SaaS platforms, and third-party APIs
• Work with Azure Service Bus (queues, topics, subscriptions), Event Grid, and Event Hubs
• Use Azure Functions for custom processing when required
• Implement monitoring, retries, error handling, and alerting
• Support hybrid integrations between cloud and on-premises systems

Required Technical Skills

Java & Backend

• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 11 or higher)
• Experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, multithreading, and concurrency
• Experience with relational databases such as Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
• Solid knowledge of JSON, XML, and HTTP

Azure & Integration

• Hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps
• Experience with Azure Service Bus
• Working knowledge of Azure Functions, Azure API Management (APIM), and Azure Key Vault
• Experience designing event-driven architectures
• Strong understanding of API-based and message-based integrations

Security

• Experience with OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect
• Knowledge of secure API design and authentication/authorization strategies
• Experience with managed identities and secure secret management

Required Certifications

One or more of the following certifications is required:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
