Rockwoods is seeking an experienced Systems/Network Administrator to join our offshore team in Hyderabad. The role involves managing the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of networks and computer systems. The ideal candidate will bring 57 years of relevant experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting critical IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and networks
• Set up and manage user accounts on organizational servers
• Perform routine and scheduled system backups, ensuring data integrity
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues on local area networks (LAN) and data networks
• Monitor system performance and resolve connectivity problems proactively
• Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine processes
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure needs

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred)
• 57 years of experience in systems or network administration
• Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, and networking concepts
• Hands-on experience with operating systems (Windows/Linux) and server administration
• Familiarity with virtualization, cloud platforms, and network security tools
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
