Role Overview

We are looking for a QA Engineer Intern who has a genuine interest in software quality , strong attention to detail, and curiosity to understand health analytics and interpretation workflows .

This role is ideal for a fresh graduate or early-career candidate (<1 year experience) who wants to build a solid foundation in:

• functional testing
• test thinking
• automation basics
• and domain-aware QA (health & life sciences)

High-performing interns will be considered for full-time QA engineer roles .

What You Will Work On

Your work will directly impact the quality and reliability of MetSights solutions , including

• data ingestion workflows
• analytics outputs
• interpretation logic
• practitioner-facing reports and dashboards

This is not a passive internship you will test real features used by real clients.

Key Responsibilities

Functional & Manual Testing

• Understand product features, user flows, and expected behavior.
• Design and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test checklists.
• Perform functional, regression, sanity, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, log, and track defects with clear reproduction steps.

Quality Thinking & Documentation

• Validate data correctness, edge cases, and interpretation logic, not just UI behavior.
• Document test results, observations, and quality risks clearly.
• Work closely with developers and product teams to clarify expected outcomes.

Automation Exposure (Learning-Oriented)

• Assist in writing or maintaining basic automation scripts (as you learn).
• Learn automation concepts, frameworks, and best practices over time.

Domain Learning

• Learn the health analytics domain, including how data accuracy and interpretation nuances matter in healthcare/wellness contexts.
• Gradually build intuition around domain-specific edge cases

Who Were Looking For

Education

• Must be a graduate in engineering or a related field.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with <1 year of experience.

Core Competencies

• The candidate should have a strong interest in QA/software testing, not just as a backup role.
• High attention to detail and structured thinking.
• Willingness to learn product behavior deeply and ask good questions.
• Comfort with repetitive testing when needed , without losing focus.

Technical Basics

• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and basic testing concepts.
• Familiarity with manual testing fundamentals.
• Basic knowledge of any programming/scripting language (Javascript, Python, etc.) is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to test automation tools or concepts.
• Basic understanding of APIs, databases, or data validation.
• Exposure to healthcare, life sciences, or data-driven applications.
• Familiarity with bug tracking or test management tools.
