Job Description

Tasks and Responsibilities:


The Intern shall be required to assist the Litigation Team in the following areas:

  • Legal Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct in-depth research on case laws, statutes, legal provisions, regulatory updates, and judicial precedents relevant to ongoing and prospective litigation matters.
  • Summarize court rulings, arbitration awards, and tribunal decisions to assist in case preparation and legal strategy.
  • Case Documentation and Management:
  • Assist in preparing case briefs, writ petitions, affidavits, replies, rejoinders, written submissions, and legal notices.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of case records, litigation trackers, and court calendars.
  • Support in organizing internal legal archives related to past and present litigations, enforcement proceedings, and regulatory interactions.
  • Court and Tribunal Coordination:
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel and law firms, for updates on case status, hearing dates, and filings.
  • Track hearing schedules, deadlines for compliance, and ensure timely submissions and representations before courts and tribunals.
  • Other Responsibilities:
  • Track key developments and judgments impacting the business or sector, and assist in preparing legal updates or advisories.
  • Perform any other legal tasks assigned from time to time in relation to litigation, arbitration, regulatory proceedings (SEBI/SAT/RBI/NCLT), or quasi-judicial forums.
  • Assist the Litigation Team in identifying legal risks and exposures from pending disputes and regulatory issues.



Duration of Internship: 6 months



Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor of Law (LL.B) from a recognized and reputed law school/university.
  • Demonstrated interest in civil and commercial litigation, securities law, corporate law, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings.
  • Prior internship experience with a law firm or in-house legal department dealing with litigation or dispute resolution will be an added advantage.


Skill preferences:

  • Excellent legal research and analytical skills, with a strong understanding of legal principles and court procedures.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments efficiently.
